Something extraordinary is about to begin.

With immense excitement we are proud to introduce the Aurora Cosplay Tournament - a brand new international cosplay competition rising from the heart of the Baltic Sea region.

ACT is built on a bold vision: to create competition to join next to the highest-standard cosplay competitions in Europe, right here in Finland. A competition that not only celebrates craftsmanship and performance, but actively elevates the entire hobby: its artists, its culture, and its future.

Aurora Cosplay Tournament does not appear out of nowhere.

Behind it stands Tracon: a non-profit organization and convention with over 20 years of history, passion, and dedication to fandom culture. All created by amazing team of volunteers. For two decades, Tracon has hosted some of Finland’s most spectacular and beloved cosplay competitions, refining stage production, judging standards, and competitor experience year after year.

It feels like the right moment for the next enormous step.

For years, we have developed competitions that highlight Finland’s incredible cosplay talent and now, we open that stage wider. We invite our friends from the Baltic Sea region to step into that spotlight as well.

And what a spotlight it is!

Aurora will take place at the breathtaking Tampere Hall, one of the largest and most impressive congress and concert venues in the Nordic countries. With its grand stage, professional technical capabilities and backstage areas to die for Tampere Hall offers a setting worthy of Europe’s finest cosplay performances.

Aurora Cosplay Tournament is founded on three powerful ambitions:

• To celebrate and showcase the art of cosplay around the Baltic Sea region.
• To create one of highest-standard cosplay tournaments to stand next to the already amazing ones.
• To create a community, where we can learn from each other and share our own cultures - together.

We aim to build something prestigious yet inspiring: competitive yet community-driven. A tournament that brings together carefully selected representatives from across the Baltic Sea region and gives them a stage where their artistry can truly shine.

But Aurora is not only about the competitors on stage.

It is about building broader international relationships. It is about strengthening networks between events and communities. It is about raising cosplay and cosplayers into greater visibility. Not just as hobbyists, but as artists, performers, designers, and storytellers.

We want to create a platform that truly highlights the participants and their craft. A space where their work is respected, celebrated, and seen.

Starting something new is always a leap of faith.

But it is also an act of hope.
